Editor's Note

Small cap stocks are the weakest sector and could damage market sentiment. Typically, the Russell 2000 leads the market both higher and lower. The Russell is currently clinging to last ditch support at 1,475. That is the edge of the proverbial cliff. There is a monster air pocket before the next support at 1,350. The A/D line has turned negative and analysts are turning negative on the market. Wells Fargo said today they expect a 120-150 point S&P drop at any time and definitely if the tax reform conversation turns negative. With the majority of the several hundred small caps stocks I watch posting losses today, I am not going to recommend new plays tonight.
